Dartmouth High School Announcements
Power Puff
Attention all registered players and coaches for the upcoming Power Puff tournament: there will be an informational meeting this Friday, November 17 in C27 immediately after school. The meeting will cover the rules of the tournament and time for you to organize practice times. Players and coaches … you will also receive your t-shirts at the meeting. If you cannot attend, please see Ms. Fifield or Mrs. Rivard. The big game is coming up, and this is the first time you come face-to-face with your opponents.
Congratulations to the Dartmouth High School Marching Band who won First Place in the USBands National Championships in NJ. The marching band swept all captions, Best Music, Visual, Percussion, and Color Guard with a score of 98.35!
RWPZ Youth Advisory Council
Roger Williams Park Zoo is accepting applications for its Youth Advisory Council. Are you a leader? A creative thinker? Are you age 16-21? Do you want to make a difference? Youth Advisory Council members will serve as a voice for youth by providing feedback & perspective on future RWPZ initiatives. They will also collaborate on initiatives and projects that will positively impact the Zoo, the community, animals, & the environment. For more information on how to sign up, visit the Guidance office. Deadline to sign up is November 27th.
Help the Needy
Want to help the needy and gain points for you class for Spirit Week?  The Key Club and members of GRIT are holding the annual food drive from Tuesday, November 14th - Tuesday, November 21st.  Please bring in non perishable food items and place it in the bin belonging to your class.  The class with the most donations will gain points for the Spirit Week competition!
Transgender Awareness Week
November 14 - 20, GSA will be selling ribbons for $1.00 before school and during lunches.  All proceeds will benefit MassTPC, an organization dedicated to equality in the commonwealth.
Attention Potential Track Athletes
In order to join the track team, you must complete the online registration before Thanksgiving.  That means you must register online, pay the user fee online, give the nurse an updated physical, and take the concussion test.  If this isn't all completed by Thanksgiving, you cannot join the team this season.  If you have questions, please see Coach McCarron and Coach Reed in C15 or C16.
Women's Self Defense Workshop
The Key Club is holding a Women's Self-Defense Workshop on Sunday, November 19th from 10 am -1pm for 35 dollars per person. This workshop is focused on learning some basic self-defense moves for the most common attacks on women. The reality is 1 in 5 women in college are assaulted, come learn how to defend yourself. See Mrs. McFee or any Key Club member for tickets or more information.
Homework Hangout
Starting Tuesday, October 3rd, Homework Hangout will be held every Tuesday and Thursday in room B2, off the Media Center. Students may stop in any time between 2:15 to 3:15 for extra help. National Honor Society members will be present to help with any homework questions or concerns students might have – in any subject.
Reader's Forum
Readers' Forum, our weekly book club, meets EVERY FRIDAY in B2 during 1st, 2nd, and 3rd lunch. Still not a member? Not a problem! A sign-up sheet is available in the LMC! Or just stop by during your lunch! If you have any questions please see Ms. Lawrence, she’s happy to help!

Parking Passes 2017-2018
Parking passes will not be sold at the high school.  Students can purchase their passes on line by accessing the town website at http://www.town.dartmouth.ma.us. Go to Online Payments / Dartmouth schools / High School student parking. Starting on August 23, students can bring their receipts to Ms. St. Pierre to receive their permit along with signing the agreement form.  Please click here to review the agreement form.
